Charitable cause of one woman show

Chocoholic, a wildly successful solo show, has a very important cause.  The star and writer of the show used her performances of the show in 2018 to raise awareness and funds for a wonderful cause.  This past year she was an advocate for St. Jude Childrens Hospital and all the proceeds went straight to them and their efforts to end childhood cancer.

Chocoholic is a one person show written by and starring Lilly Dennis and directed by Debra De Liso.  The production premiered in 2015 in Los Angeles and has been touring ever since.  Chocoholic tells a story about loss and addiction, centering around a young woman who is addicted to chocolate.  The show opens in a comedic setting where Ms. Dennis has put herself on trial for being a chocoholic and calls multiple witnesses which are various aspects of her personality and her future self.  The comedy of the show comes to a thundering holt at the end as the real reason behind the bizarre chocoholics addiction is revealed.
